The floor is installed in the back half of the house only, which allows for more viewing and access to the lower area. The walls are then assembled for three of the four sides. I suspect that after the 10 thousand voters for this set have bought it... Or not, it is way more expensive than expected, espically when compared to the Home Alone house... Overall, it seems like the scale of the model is off. I feel that the house could either have been half again bigger or done smaller as a cutaway. It is absolutely packed with details that fans will appreciate. Unfortunately, many of these details are hard to see and recognize once the set is complete due to design choices. Added to the supply issues during Covid, where perhaps if they produced less sets and more stock it would've been better. I could see that hair/witch hat combo being used in Harry Potter.

I've never seen the movie because I really can't stand one of the stars. But that being said this is an awesome looking set on it's own without figuring in those three characters. When I saw this up on Ideas I don't remember if I actually supported it but when it made it through review I knew it was a set I'll probably be getting because it is so interesting to me.

The area is lively during the day but very quiet at night after the cruise ships leave. The downside of that is many restaurants are closed for dinner. The rooms are large and comfortable with spacious balconies. I really commend the staff who are excellent in every area, friendly and efficient.

The shower, size of the bed and balcony over looking the ocean view was divine. A special note about the staff, the Guyanese bell man was so helpful checking in on us, the check-in desk staff were also helpful with arranging food deliveries. We ate at the restaurant and the food was amazing, not too hot even though it says spicy on the menu, if you like your pepper. The music in the bar lounge was a vibe with some unique south African house mix. This boutique hotel is located right on Great Bay Beach, St. Maarten, and offers spacious rooms with 30-inch flat-screen cable TVs.
